What is the PRC?
ISTA’s Professional Resource Center (PRC) is the learning and networking program that provides our members with professional development and learning opportunities. The PRC fosters innovation, collaboration, collegiality and scholarship through a range of programs, services and resources.
NATIONAL BOARD CERTIFICATION
It is a mission of ISTA to increase the number of National Board Certified Teachers in Indiana. ISTA offers a variety of financial support and online and in-person resources to help you achieve National Board Certification.
ISTA’s PRC hosts a number of high-quality, statewide and local conferences and events.
Members can earn Professional Growth Points (PGP), connect with colleagues from across the state and collaborate with educators looking to advance the profession.
ISTA PRC events are offered at little or no-cost to our members to support their continued learning and growth as an educator. If you’re not a member, conference rates may vary for each event. Consider a membership in ISTA for significant savings on professional development and learning!
GOOD TEACHING CONFERENCE
The two-day conference, designed by teachers, for teachers, supports excellent teaching and learning practices.
This conference aims to elevate the important work by our ESPs and offer professional development aimed at supporting student learning.
EARLY CAREER EDUCATOR CONFERENCE
Targets educators with less than five years of experience in the classroom to enhance their effectiveness in the classroom. The conference tackles the unique challenges faced by early career educators.
ISTA strives to serve our members in every corner of the state. If a local is seeking personalized, focused professional development, explore the topics available for a Teaching Café hosted at your local. Contact PRC Coordinator Angela Miller to schedule a Teaching Cafe today.
