Who are Higher Education Professionals?

Public education supporters from higher education have shaped and influenced ISTA since its founding in 1854, when William Daily was elected the first president of ISTA while serving as the third president of Indiana University. Higher education professionals represent a full complement of faculty and staff at two- and four-year institutions of higher education. Faculty, academic professional staff, education support professionals and graduate students are all eligible for higher education membership.

Higher Education Membership

In addition to supporting the advancement of K-12 public education, higher education professionals advocate for improved access to high-quality, affordable higher education.
