11/05/2019

ISTA’s Red For Ed Action Day Nov. 19 falls during American Education Week – Nov. 18 – 22. Let’s make it a full week of Red For Ed actions!

Here are some ideas to get your planning started.

Monday, Nov. 18
Write your legislator. Raise your voice and let your legislator know that you want them to take action. Here are some talking points on ISTA’s top priorities and printable postcards. Find your legislator.

Tuesday, Nov. 19
Attend Red For Ed Action Day. If you can’t make it, host a walk-in at your work site. Here are tips on how to coordinate a walk-in.

Wednesday, Nov. 20
Celebrate education support professionals (ESP). ESP day recognizes the value and contributions of our ESPs in districts, schools and classrooms.

Thursday, Nov. 21
Host a community classroom. Invite legislators, community leaders and parents into the classroom.

Friday, Nov. 22
Flood social media. Share your #RedForEd messages on social media. Tag ISTA and your legislator.

Hosting actions in your local during that week will allow those who can’t make it to Indianapolis for the Red For Ed Action Day to participate and make an impact!
