ISTA Aspiring Educators' annual community partnership event is Outreach to Teach (O2T). This annual event rewards a deserving public school with a makeover. Aspiring Educators, in partnership with education community members, spends a day cleaning, painting, decorating, landscaping and more!

• 8 a.m. | Registration opens
• 9 a.m. | O2T kick-off assembly and projects begin
• 11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. | Lunch
• 12:20 p.m. | Group photo
• 12:30 p.m. | Projects continue
• 5 p.m. | Projects completed and wrap-up

Outreach to Teach projects are dependent on donations received. Contributions and in-kind donations are now being accepted to complete the project goals for Southwestern Elementary School. Please consider supporting this year’s project by either sending donations directly to Indiana State Teachers Association, 150 West Market Street, Suite 900, Indianapolis, IN 46204 (Attn: Kathy Hill) or via the donation link.

The Aspiring Educators seeks your valuable input as we begin our search for a school to be chosen as the location for our annual Outreach to Teach project. The tentative date for this project is April 17, 2027. Most of our work will be focused indoors, but weather permitting, we may be able to accomplish some small outdoor tasks as well.
