ISTA to Host News Conference Ahead of DeVos Announcement of National Voucher Program

The Indiana State Teachers Association will hold a news conference to oppose Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos’ expected announcement regarding the Trump administration’s plans for an education tax credit scholarship. Indiana leads the nation with 33,000 vouchers issued to students in the 2015 – 16 school year to the detriment of the more than 90 percent of Hoosier kids who attend public schools. Parents, educators and community leaders will speak to the importance of supporting public schools.
