ISTA Statement Remembering Phyllis Bush
03/20/2019

ISTA President Teresa Meredith released this statement following news of the passing of educator and public education advocate Phyllis Bush. Bush served as the treasurer on the board of directors for the Network for Public Education and founded the Northeast Indiana Friends of Public Education.

“Phyllis was a passionate, dedicated supporter of public schools,” said Meredith. “She was a champion of public schools in Indiana, regionally and nationally. The loss of her leadership will be felt, but her example will continue to inspire those who wish to provide all kids with access to great public schools.”
