ISTA Statement on Texas School Shooting

ISTA President Teresa Meredith released the following statement in response to the shooting at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, Texas:

“We are saddened by the loss of more young lives in a setting where they should be safe – their school. We send our love and support to the kids, parents and community of Santa Fe.

Every child has the right to be safe at school, and every parent has the right to know their schools are safe places to send their children. This is why lawmakers must take immediate action to keep them safe from gun violence.”
