ISTA Statement on Indiana’s New School Accountability Model
03/04/2026

“ISTA appreciates the work of the State Board of Education and Secretary Jenner to develop a new school accountability model that looks beyond test scores to include additional measures of student learning and readiness. Educators believe in accountability, and it’s important that the measures behind school grades fairly reflect the progress students are making and the opportunities they have to succeed. We look forward to continuing to work with the state board to ensure this system supports strong schools and positive outcomes for all Hoosier kids.”
