ISTA Statement in Response to Senate Republican Budget Proposal
04/11/2019

ISTA President Teresa Meredith issued the following statement in reaction to the Senate Republican budget proposal.

“The Senate budget bill is a move in the right direction. Indiana hasn’t seen this level of investment in education since 2009. It’s because of this lack of investment in our schools over the past decade, that Indiana is behind our neighboring states on funding levels and last in the nation in salary growth.

Our members’ voices are being heard, and we encourage them to keep contacting their legislators as we believe the General Assembly can still do better than the current funding levels.”
