ISTA Recognizes Three Local Associations for Outstanding Organizational Development
11/02/2017

Honored with the Quality Local Association Award

The Indiana State Teachers Association awarded three local associations with the Quality Local Association award – the Hamilton Southeastern Education Association, New Albany-Floyd County Bus Drivers Association and West Clark Teachers Association.

The honorees submitted materials from their local association that demonstrated membership growth, member engagement, communication, updated affiliation standards and more.

“These locals exhibit exceptional organizational development,” said ISTA President Teresa Meredith. “ISTA is pleased to recognize local associations excelling at representing educators to support the educational needs of kids.”

In recognition of the award, ISTA will fully fund one local association member from the Hamilton Southeastern Education Association and West Clark Teachers Association to attend the 2018 National Education Association (NEA) Summit, March 16 – 18, and one local association member from the New Albany-Floyd County Bus Drivers Association to attend the 2018 NEA ESP Conference, March 23 – 25.

ISTA affiliated local associations interested in submitting a nomination for the Quality Local Association award can visit the ISTA website for more details. ISTA can facilitate connecting media with local association leaders to discuss the award.
