ISTA Members Reelect Treasurer

Doug Taylor Will Serve Second Term

The Indiana State Teachers Association (ISTA) held an election for treasurer during the ISTA Representative Assembly, the association’s annual business meeting, held yesterday. Current ISTA Treasurer Doug Taylor will serve his second, three-year term. Taylor’s second term begins July 15, 2020.

“I have been proud of the work our leaders, board and members contributed to ensure ISTA’s financial health,” said Taylor. “I look forward to continuing my service to our educator members.”

Taylor is a middle school teacher in New Albany-Floyd County Schools with more than 20 years of experience. He has served as the New Albany-Floyd County Education Association president, vice president, association representative and bargaining team member.

During regional meetings prior to the ISTA Representative Assembly, delegate members also elected ISTA Board of Directors and standing committee members from across the state
