ISTA Members Elect Treasurer

Doug Taylor Elected Treasurer for Three-Year Term

The Indiana State Teachers Association held an election for treasurer during the ISTA Representative Assembly, the association's annual business meeting. Current ISTA Treasurer Callie Marksbary is termed out after serving two, three-year terms. ISTA delegate members elected Doug Taylor for a three-year term. Taylor's term begins Aug. 1, 2017.

"I am honored to have won the support of my peers to serve as the ISTA treasurer," said ISTA Treasurer-elect Doug Taylor. "I am committed to serving our members and locals to work towards a better future for ISTA and the education profession."

Taylor is a teacher in the New Albany-Floyd County Schools with 24 years of teaching experience. He has served as the New Albany-Floyd County Education Association president, vice president, association representative and bargaining team member.

At the Representative Assembly, delegate members also elected board and standing committee members from across the state.
