Grants available to fund your school’s sports programs

California Casualty is once again offering the Thomas R. Brown Athletics Grant to Indiana middle and high schools. The grants provide schools between $1,000 and $3,000 to make improvements to sports programs from upgrading equipment to purchasing uniforms and more.

Last year, New Albany Senior High School, North Putnam Middle School and Tell City Jr/Sr. High School received a total of $3,500 from the 2018 California Casualty Thomas R. Brown Athletics Grant program.

  • New Albany Senior High School purchased warm-ups for the track and field team.
  • North Putnam Middle School acquired essential equipment for the cross-country team to host and compete in meets.
  • Tell City Jr/Sr. High School bought travel bags and balls for the soccer team.

Since its inception in 2011, more than $660,000 has been awarded to some 600 schools across the nation.

Application deadline is Jan. 15. Applicants can anticipate an announcement in April.
