Deadline to register to vote only a day away
10/10/2016

Are you registered to vote? Have you recently moved? Did you register years ago and want to check your registration status?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you have until, tomorrow, Oct. 11 to register to vote in Indiana. Hoosiers with a current Indiana driver's license or state issued identification card can visit www.IndianaVoters.com to register to vote online, check their registration status and more. ISTA is encouraging everyone to vote early this year. Any registered voter is eligible.

Oct. 12 is the first day of early voting, also known as, absentee-in-person. Early voting is done at your county election office. Voters also have the option of voting absentee-by-mail.

Applications for an absentee-in-person or absentee-by-mail must be received by your county clerk by Oct. 31.

Mark your calendar:

  • Oct. 11 - Deadline to register to vote in Indiana primary
  • Oct. 12 - Voting for absentee-in-person voting opens at your county election board office
  • Oct. 31 - Deadline for applications for absentee-in-person or absentee-by-mail
  • Nov. 8 - Election Day

It has never been more important for educators and supporters of public schools to vote for candidates who value our state's public schools and the educators who help make them great.
