5 Ways to prepare for Red For Ed Rally
02/15/2019

Educators, parents, community members and public education advocates are invited to the Red For Ed Rally, March 9 from 1 – 3 p.m. ET at the Statehouse in Indianapolis.

Here are the top five ways to prepare for the Red For Ed Rally.

  1. RECRUIT members, other educators, parents, public school advocates and community members to attend the rally. Here’s a flyer to help spread the word, and if you’re on Facebook, share this event with your network. You can RSVP on Facebook or here.
  2. COORDINATE LOGISTICS. How are you getting to the rally? For cars and small buses, the parking lot north of the Statehouse at 249 W. New York St. will be available for $10/vehicle from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. ET – credit card payments only. Other parking options include, metered (buses must pay for all spaces used), Indianapolis Zoo (cars and buses, bus parking first-come, first-served from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. ET for $20) and Gate Ten Events & Parking (bus parking must be prearranged with Diana Crum at dcrum@ista-in.org, $45 cash or credit card pre-paid or on-site).
  3. ORDER SHIRTS. Place individual and group orders by end of day on Feb. 22 to receive before rally. UPDATE: Vendor has extended T-shirt orders through end of day Feb. 24. Still anticipated to arrive before rally.
  4. MAKE SIGNS. Host a sign making party. Signs brought inside the Statehouse must be 2’ x 2’ or smaller and not attached to sticks.
  5. ADVOCATE FOR OUR KIDS, OUR SCHOOLS, OUR FUTURE on March 9, 1 – 3 p.m. ET at the Statehouse.
