Teacher Spotlight: Vincente Lorenz
05/07/2025

Q. “Why do I love being a teacher?”

A. I genuinely love getting to know my students and what they enjoy. I find that by truly getting to know them I can better assist them at understanding challenging material in class. My students each have their own inspiring story, and those stories drive me to be a better teacher. By truly knowing my students, I can help them navigate into early adulthood and I can hopefully inspire them to be the best versions of themselves and chase their dreams. My goal is to make sure each student feels safe, heard, seen, and loved. I love people and if the students that walk in and out of my classroom feel loved that’s more important to me than learning science. The science will be learned if my students know they are loved. Teaching is a chance to inspire and provide positivity while providing young people with the tools to be successful in life. I love knowing that I am able to help the next generation just as the generation before helped me.
