Sept. 15 - Oct. 15
Hispanic Heritage Month is an opportunity to celebrate the rich histories, cultures and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities and to recognize the educators, students, families and communities who strengthen Indiana’s public schools every day.
Across Indiana, Hispanic and Latino educators play an important role in creating welcoming, inclusive schools where every student has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Their voices, experiences and leadership enrich our classrooms, our schools and our union.
This month, ISTA celebrates the many contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities and the educators who help make public education stronger.
Celebrate. Learn. Recognize.
Take time this month to explore Hispanic and Latino history and culture, celebrate the contributions of Hispanic and Latino leaders and recognize the impact these communities have on our schools and communities.
At ISTA, we believe every educator and every student deserves to feel valued, respected and seen. Our diversity is one of our strengths, and our collective voices make us stronger.
