Elected and community leaders spend the day in classrooms
11/18/2016

As part of ISTA’s celebration of American Education Week, yesterday ISTA and its members invited elected and community leaders to visit their classrooms and workplaces to share their work with students for Educator for a Day.

One of yesterday’s participants was Sen. Dennis Kruse (R -  Auburn), who visited Butler Elementary in DeKalb County. Sen. Kruse spent the day in the fourth-grade classroom of ISTA member Darlene Diehl. We would like to thank the many educators and participants for joining our members in their classrooms – it was a great learning experience for students and participants alike.
