Intense work continues on HB 1321, a complicated IPS school re-constitution bill sponsored by Rep. Bob Behning (R-Indianapolis).

After tireless negotiations by Indianapolis teachers and the ISTA staff with supporters of this bill, including Gov. Pence's staff, Mayor Ballard's staff, IPS Superintendent Lewis Ferebee and Republican legislative leaders, this bill is ready for a final vote in the Senate.

HB 1321 still needs improvements to protect Indianapolis students and teachers. Call your legislators and urge them to send HB 1321 to conference committee to get important amendments included in its final version.
