10/02/2017

Read an excerpt from the Advocate article on ISTA member and NEA Foundation Global Learning Fellow, Joyce Click. To read the article in full, watch your mailbox for your copy of the Advocate magazine.

Joyce Click, music teacher and choral director from North Central high School in Indianapolis, traveled throughout China as an NEA Foundation Global Learning Fellow this summer. This international field study was the culmination of a year of intensive professional development aimed at integrating global content into instruction and student learning.

"We are all growing as a result of the Global Fellows program, because we are being pushed and pulled to the boundaries of our own personal zones," said Click.

Click was the 2016 Hoosier Educator of the Year and a National Board Certified Teacher. For more from Click's experience, visit her blog at jclickful.edublogs.org
