Run for state office: Treasurer to be elected at Representative Assembly
08/21/2019

One of the indicators of a healthy Association are members willing to step up to run for statewide office. At the Representative Assembly (RA), April 25, 2020, in Noblesville, delegates will elect the ISTA treasurer. If you’re interested in running for office, here’s what you need to do.

Steps for Candidates

2019

Before Nov. 1, submit candidate form and statement to appear in the ISTA winter Advocate. If a candidate statement is received after Nov. 1, the candidate statement will only appear on the ISTA website.

2020

Before March 1, submit candidate form and statement.

Attend the ISTA RA April 25 for the election.

What Does the Treasurer Do?

The ISTA treasurer works with the ISTA chief financial officer to develop a budget that fulfills the strategic work of the Association and report on progress to the ISTA Board of Directors and the RA delegates. The treasurer provides training and guidance to local association treasurers to ensure locals are in good standing with financial institutions and maintain processes to protect member dues.
