Public education rally was a success, but action on behalf of students still needed
02/17/2015

By all accounts, yesterday’s rally for public education was a success. Despite the weather keeping many at home, more than 1,000 public education supporters attended.

Now that educators, parents and students have made it known to legislators and the governor that they expect student-centered legislation, it’s time to take action.

We cannot expect any changes unless we keep up the pressure.

You can easily engage with policymakers in a matter of minutes by emailing them on pressing issues using our grassroots action program. You can even register with us to receive an email when students and public schools need your help.

We have the power to affect change, but we must have the will to do so. Thank you everyone who attended the rally, those who posted pictures from home and to everyone who stayed up to tweet and post support for public education.
