ISTA Statement on Adoption of Graduation Pathways
12/06/2017

ISTA president Teresa Meredith released the following statement following the adoption of graduation pathways by the Indiana State Board of Education:

“I am disappointed in the board’s vote today. Following hours of public comments and hundreds of emails from parents, teachers, counselors and school administrators, asking members to slow down and figure out the many unknowns – their voices were ignored.

Now is the time for these united voices to continue their advocacy for the kids we serve and tell legislators to fill in the many gaps in the pathways’ guidelines – including the significant funding which will be required by already cash-strapped public schools.”
