Despite the ongoing censorship threatening books and authors and the waves of book bans and challenges across the state of Indiana, books belong to their readers. Politicians have denied children resources to acquire a high-quality education by inflicting fear about what is taught in schools and banning books written by mostly Black, brown and LGTBQ + authors. 

Students should not have to look any further than the shelves of their own libraries to feel seen, heard and valued.

Stories may be shared on social media and with legislators.
