The Indiana Educators Rising Conference is hosted by ISTA for high school students interested in pursuing a career in education. Students will compete in teacher competencies, attend sessions, connect with peers and elect state officers. Learn more about Educators Rising

Registration 

Teacher leaders will register individual students. Teacher leaders will need the following student information prior to registration: 

  • Full name
  • School district
  • Grade
  • Whether student will enter competition
  • Dietary restrictions or allergies

Competitions 

Competition winners will be invited to represent Indiana at the 2020 Educators Rising National Conference June 17 - 21 at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C. Conference registration fees (and membership fees, as needed), hotel (double-occupancy) and flight will be covered. Students considering entering one or more competitions should attempt to hold the conference dates on their calendar. 

Competitions will run concurrently to breakout sessions throughout the day until concluded. The competitions open for entry this year are below.

Elections for Educators Rising statewide officers will be held at the conference.

Nomination Form

Candidates will be given time at the conference to give a speech. Election materials may be displayed or distributed on lunch tables.

Students interested in running for office must complete the nomination form before Feb. 20.
