New DOE report shows state is now losing $17 million to school voucher program

A new report released by the Indiana Department of Education shows that the state’s school voucher program is now costing taxpayers nearly $17 million.

 

According to the Associated Press:

 

...changes that allowed some students already attending private schools to begin receiving state aid ended up costing the state more money.

 

ISTA will continue to advocate for rolling back the voucher program and prevent legislative efforts to expand vouchers further.
