Dave Burgess will present a high-energy, inspirational keynote based on his New York Times best-selling book, "Teach Like a PIRATE: Increase Student Engagement, Boost Your Creativity, and Transform Your Life as an Educator". 

Earn Professional Growth Plan (PGP) points for both Friday evening and Saturday sessions.

Conference materials and presentations will be available after the conference on the edCommunities group, ISTA Good Teaching Conference. If you haven’t yet signed up for edCommunities, follow the instructions in the link above to access an online, national community of educators and professional groups.

Registration

The Good Teaching Conference is free for ISTA members to attend. Non-members may attend at a cost of $100.

ISTA ReSupply

Educators within the first five years of their career can shop at ISTA ReSupply during the Good Teaching Conference!

ISTA ReSupply accepts gently used and new classroom supplies from retiring educators and community members. New educators are invited to shop ReSupply for items they need for the school year at no cost.

Interested Presenters

The ISTA Professional Resource Center is seeking breakout session presenters for the conference. Teachers, education support professionals, retired educators and higher education professionals are encouraged to apply to present. Proposals can focus on teaching and learning, career goal setting, work-life balance and more, but the practice of teaching is the focus of this conference. 

The deadline to submit proposals is now closed.

Should you be unable to attend any portion of the Good Teaching Conference, please send your cancellation within seven days of the conference to Melanie Harris at mharris@ista-in.org.
